The following is a text by the architect.

********

Houses in Nagasaki Japan.
Building site is surrounded by bamboo forest and mountain green. It can feel the sky.
Architecture consists of only two elements ”roof and wall”.
The roof is like umbrella inside out. The wall is sheet panel of iron like the skin.
The wall layout is arranged like the windmill.
Everyone played it when child. It begin to turn, when wind flows.
Like that, the nature flows in this house.

The umbrella is primitive, rational structure. It can surpass rain. However, we cannot feel outside well.
In this house, the umbrella is turned upside down. Rain enters the inside, and pours water into the tree in the courtyard.
While walking , the resident is thrown out to the outside by diagonal shape.
They are surrounded by the scenery.
Moreover, it becomes a fluid space, and the resident will live in the sequence of nature
They live with nature everywhere.
This architecture have the movement of the sky and the cloud, green and wind.
