Japanese YASUTAKA YOSHIMURA ARCHITECTS has completed renovation project"HOUSE OF HOUSES / Nowhere but Hayama" in Kanagawa, Japan.
The following is a text by the architct.

Renovation of an old traditional home located near the Hayama Imperial Villa.
Antiseismic reinforcement had to be developed by adding both wall quantity and substructure.
In order to minimize the influence on the existing building, we decided to focus the reinforcement on only 4 areas.
The substructure and walls were built in the internal side of the existing wall, with partially double walls.
A very intriguing scene was created with 4 small houses that come out of the floor supporting the walls from the inside.
