Norisada Maeda Atelier has completed a house "PICNIC" in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan.

The following is a text by the architect.
********
In the model photograph above, it is "[Stripe] pattern" in which three roofs are laid in parallel.
As a big composition of this construction
= Part with roof (white): 【 inside 】 (= room) part without = roof (white): 【 external 】(= garden)
Then, From the left sequentially of "[Stripe] pattern" in the photograph above
-【 garden 】--【 room 】--【 garden 】--【 room 】--【 garden 】--【 room 】--【 garden 】.
【 Garden 】 and 【 room 】 are the arrangement alternately arranged in parallel.
- The third 【 garden 】 from the left is "Basin. " by the way.
As the relation of the part with roof and the part without roof is destroyed only a little, "Relation between the inside and the outside" appears more deeply..
Moreover, "Scenery of life" in seven parallel layers comes to penetrate all because most of the wall outside toward is "Clear glass" each other.
All places are like inside,
All places are like outside.
Daily life that does picnic, commanding a view of the Tsukuba mountain.
It’s the house [PICNIC].
