Sevensisters Redesign by ZMIK
Swiss Designer Trio ZMIK redesigns the small but exquisit Sevensisters boutique in Basel a sophisticated gift shop for designaddicts.
The core piece is built by a sculputral display furniture between table, sideboard and millepede. 10 single volumes are bonded to a 9 meters long display topography borne by innumerable legs. The wide range of small products now is presented on several levels. Every volume can get flipped open so that the furniture gets convertible to react on the ever-changing assortment.
The entrance area is framed by a network out of yellow tape. It attracts people and opens the view into the depth of the store.
ZMIK is a young studio for space design located in Basel/Switzerland. Zmik explores opportunitites at the fringes of various disciplines such as interior design, architecture, scenography and product design. Their work is focused on the design of identity and individuality. ZMIK was founded in2006 by Rolf Inderm醇・le, Mattias Mohr and Magnus Zwyssig.
