We have designed table, chair, bench, and sofa by conforming with the concept of “TSUKUYOMI” in collaboration with leading Japanese wooden furniture manufacturer “karimoku”, and pendant light as well with a lighting brand “NEW LIGHT POTTERY”.
Table, chair, and bench are made of black-walnut wood, but one edge of each different part is slightly shaved, and the oak-grain is exposed from there. The oak-grain becomes an accent like moonlight, and giving an attract expression for the shape arranged by orthodoxy.
Naturally combining wood species with completely different properties such as expansion and contraction rate and warpage is a result that is possible because of Karimoku’s technical capabilities. We designed so that it can enjoy the profundity of the wood material by comparing the beauty of wood skin of oak and walnut together.
The cushions of the chair, sofa, and bench are two-tone, which is a combination of earth-color and silver fabrics, and it also gives an attract expression along with the moonlight of the oak-grain.
